Evaluation Question 1

'In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?'

By answering the question 'In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?' I have managed to bring together all of my original ideas and concepts for our video and can now understand the paths I chose to take when it came to many different aspects of our product. As you can see from the video above we did use and were influenced by a few aspects from real life media products and music videos, however, we moved on from this and seemed to develop these ideas in our own way so as to allow our video to fit in with the genre and theme. We also actively challenged these factors as our video has a general mise en scene of challenging the daily normalities of a teenager and breaking these boundaries. Therefore, we transferred this concept into the physical filming and making of our music video.

Above is the ways in which I have used, challenged and developed forms and conventions of real media products to fit in with my own personal products.

Evaluation Question 2

'How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks?'

This is my response to the question 'How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks?' By completing this evaluation question I have learnt just how important it is for all three components of my work to combine well together and create an effective and united front. I feel that I have worked in such a way that my components do fit well together and allow the branding as well as my personality to flow very well and continue the theme.

Evaluation Question 3

'What have you learned from your audience feedback?'

This is my response to the evaluation question 'What have you learned from your audience feedback?' referring to the music video. As you can see we have learnt so many things from our wide range of audience. Things which we have taken in to account and (most of the time) have altered our music video in one way or another. Having an audience feedback to you is so important as it allows your product to be viewed by a fresh pair of eyes that is more likely to highlight errors and view it from an outsider's perspective.

Above is also a look into how the audience feedback for my own products altered my work and why this benefitted myself in the long run.

Planning For Evalution Question 1

By planning my response in advance, I have managed to allow my ideas to become clear on paper, so that when I discuss them within my video I know exactly what I am going to say and make sure that I cover all of the important points.

Planning For Evaluation Question 2

Again, by planning my response to this question beforehand I have also saved myself some time whilst recording have also allowed myself to make my points come across freely and with no hesitation, lowering the chance of me going off topic during discussion.

Evaluation Question 4

How did you use media technologies in the construction, research and planning stages?

This is the link to my evaluation question 4 that I made on an online tool called 'Wix'. By completing this evaluation question I have realised just how much I have relied on various different pieces of technology to allow all of my ideas to come together and compose my three final pieces. (Click on the link to find out in more detail exactly what I learnt)

Music Video - FINAL CUT

This is the very final cut/version of our music video. This has been a long and complicated process, however we (as a team) and myself personally have learnt so much surrounding the process in which a music video is created. We have had in experience of every single area of creation from casting an actor, to planning our shots, to editing, to developing camera skills, all the way back to when we initially chose our song. We have overcome many obstacles such as not having enough shots and having to go back and film more and more, the issue surrounding not showing the sky due to changing weather conditions and of course our first actor dropping out and leaving us to have to adapt an awful lot of our original ideas to suit the new actor. Overall, I feel that our negative and positive experiences has allowed our music video to become stronger and thrive under constructive criticism and praise.
