Fashion, Location & Overall Mise en scene Of The Video

Female Fashion Inspiration

Here is a selection of inspirational photos that I feel will influence the way that a female actor would dress if she took part in our video. The main deciding factor in the overall look and feel of the fashion was inspired by the season, demonstrating the more practical ideas behind keeping our actor warm etc in order for them to perform to the highest of their ability.

Male Fashion Inspiration

These photos demonstrate the fashion we are going to use for our male actor. We have later decided that we would have one, male actor as it fits well with the male singer in the song and also would allow more attention to be focused on to him rather than utilising two actors, one of which would not be able to lip sync because of the male voice. From doing this task I have learnt that whatever the gender of your actor, the idea of practicality has to come before very high fashion stakes. Of course, fashion plays a huge part in the overall mise en scene of the whole video but you still have to take into account the purpose different types of clothing will serve aswell as whether they match the actor's surroundings well.

Props

My task was to make a list of the potential props that we might need for our music video. This was a very important task as we would have to plan beforehand if all of our props would work together and compose an effective mise en scene. This is another reason why I therefore took it a step further and created a collage depicting the possible look and feel of our video if we incorporate all of these elements. I thought that this would then allow us to see in detail whether the general feel flows freely throughout the mise en scene.

This was my planning for the typical kinds of location that we would use in our video. I found various images of Bristol and the surrounding area, alongside inspirational pictures that we would hope to emulate in our own music video.
