Lyrics Analysis

In this task, we had to analyse the lyrics of our chosen song, this is because lyrics obviously play a huge part in the way in which the song is perceived by the audience. Some songs seem to have no relevance to the lyrics whatsoever, so we decided to choose a song in which it would be easier to link the visuals to the lyrics in some way. We did this because we felt that it would lead to a more successful music video if the audience is able to make a link and actually understand and interpret what they are watching in concordance with the lyrics. From this in depth analysis, I learnt that there are many different ways in which you can understand lyrics and therefore expand on them in your thoughts, so the more powerful the lyrics, in turn the more effective the music video becomes.
