Lip syncing practice

This was an extra task that we did as a group to practice our lip syncing in preparation for making our own music videos. We started off by choosing which song to do as a group, as this was only a practice we decided to go with a fun, lighthearted song that be easy to lip sync to as everyone know the song. It was called 'Star girl' by McFly. Apart from being a bit of fun, it allowed us to see just how hard it was to edit our clips to the song in iMovie and pick up some useful tips along the way in order to help us later on in the process when we use this technique in our own work. Lip syncing is very difficult to do if the people being filmed aren't confident enough or aren't familiar enough with the lyrics themselves. If they don't know the lyrics that well, then the way in which they sing it can sometimes become awkward and not a very good performance. Saying this, you therefore have to find the middle ground between directing an actor so that they look confident but also not over the top and fake. So all in all, I learnt a lot from this exercise.
