Analysis Of Music Websites

For this task, I researched the many different types of websites for artists and of course bands. I learnt why an effective website is so important and the kinds of impressions each different theme had to offer. I began by looking at the kinds of elements a typical website should include and the basic principles of a website's function. I then moved on to looking at three websites in close analysis to assess what makes them 'work' and what doesn't. Finally, I ended by researching into a few websites that challenge the typical codes and conventions of this online format and bring something new and exciting to the table of mainstream design. Throughout this research project as a whole, I have evaluated my personal opinions of different websites and also attempted to understand the idea behind each different one. However, referring back to my own opinion, I have decided through exploring the artist's websites that are already out there, that I would aim to produce and make a website that focuses on a very simple and understated theme.
