From doing this research into branding, I have realised just how powerful the technique of branding is to any artist or brand. It allows them to launch themselves into the public eye and create any persona and feel they want to represent their brand. This allows different artists to send out different messages to their audiences and almost prove that they are not the same as every other artist before them. Most recently, the more individual and sometimes outrageous they are, the more fans they attract simply because they bring something new to the table. Even if their physical music is not anything revolutionary and out of the ordinary, if they have a strong brand behind their image, an artist can still become popular. This is because if they have a very individual feel surrounding their brand, then they are likely to cause a stir in the media and attract attention from intrigued audiences.
