From researching how the genre of music is represented through the codes and conventions of a video, I have learnt a lot about the completely different ways in which each genre can represent their own music and their style. From the seemingly innocent and censored conventions that belong to pop music videos, all the way up to the stereotypically shocking and diverse nature of the elements included in trance/dance music, we can see how every single code and convention needs to be completely thought through and analysed so that it can portray the most effective and original view of each genre.
